ArcGIS backwards conversion for #INFOSWMM, #INFOSEWER and #INFOWATER

ArcGIS backwards conversion for #INFOSWMM, #INFOSEWER and #INFOWATER
If you make the MXD a zero byte file it will strip away any Arc GIS specific information which allows you IWDB or ISDB folder to be used in any version of Arc GIS. You can do the following to make the zero byte MXD file:
1. Use Windows Explorer make a new Text File
2. Use Windows Explorer to copy the name of the existing MXD file
3. Delete the existing MXD file
4. Rename the Text file with the name of the MXD file
5. The MXD file will now have no content with a size of zero bytes
6. You are not supposed to add the DBF Files, those are loaded when you open up the MXD file

How to Rectify Offset Issues in InfoSWMM and H2OMap SWMM

How to Rectify Offset Issues in InfoSWMM and H2OMap SWMM
1. Use Tool preferences to use elevation Rim Elevations (instead of depths) and elevation link offsets (instead of depths)
2. Once these flags are set you need to divide all of the link offsets by 2 to get the original values
3. The node and links should be correct
4. Check a portion of your model using the Input HGL tool to see if the offsets make sense
5. You should always check to see if you have the right elevation preferences
a. Offsets of depth and Node Max Depth or
b. Offsets of absolute elevation and Rim Absolute Elevations instead of Depths

City of Hanford, California, Chooses Innovyze Advanced Smart Water Modeling Technology
InfoWater and InfoSewer ArcGIS-Centric Modeling Solutions to Help Hanford in Making Critical Decisions on Growth Planning and for Updating its General Plan
Broomfield, Colorado, USA, August 30, 2016 — Innovyze, a leading global innovator of business analytics software and technologies for smart wet infrastructure, today announced that the City of Hanford, California, has chosen Innovyze’s InfoWater and InfoSewer software as the foundation for supporting the update of the General Plan and for making critical decisions on growth planning.  The software will also be used for updating the City’s drinking water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems master plans, as well as for supporting the preparation of the Urban Water Management Plan to meet California Water Code requirements SB 610 and AB 910.
Established as the county seat for Kings County, California, Hanford has a population of about 55,000, with an average growth rate of 2% to 3% per year. Growth is anticipated to increase the population to 70,177 in 2020. The City’s drinking water system is comprised of 203 miles of main lines, 15 water supply wells, and 3.5 million gallons of storage tanks. Its sanitary sewer system consists of approximately 212 miles of main lines and 22 pump stations, and its storm drainage system comprises approximately 56 miles of main lines, 30 pump stations, and 181 acres of drainage basins.
“We selected InfoWater and InfoSewer because they have the power, functionality, and full-range capabilities we need to effectively integrate all our water and sewer network modeling activities directly with our GIS to increase productivity and create seamless workflows,” said Hanford Deputy Public Works Director and City Engineer John Doyel, P.E. “We were also impressed by the software’s ease of use, flexibility and value, as well as the excellent customer support and track record of Innovyze. They are helping our consultant update our Urban Water Management Plan and develop optimized solutions at maximum savings, so we can continue to deliver greater value to our customers.”
Built atop ArcGIS (Esri, Redlands, CA) with native geodatabase support, InfoWater and InfoSewer offer a single comprehensive, GIS-centric solution for analyzing and managing water distribution and sewer collections systems. The result is performance modeling that sets new levels of scalability, reliability, functionality and flexibility within the powerful ArcGIS environment. Using these advanced predictive tools, utilities can easily simulate and evaluate various conditions, pinpoint system deficiencies, and determine the most cost-effective improvements to achieve optimum performance and regulatory compliance and meet vital climate change and sustainability challenges.
“Innovyze offers by far the most comprehensive selection of ArcGIS-centric hydraulic modeling and management solutions in the water and wastewater industries,” said Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D., BCEEM, Hon.D.WRE, Dist.D.NE, Dist.M.ASCE, NAE, President, COO and Chief Innovation Officer of Innovyze. “These critical tools are designed to help our customers do their jobs better, faster and at lower cost. We’re proud to know that our InfoWater andInfoSewer solutions will be helping the City of Hanford build a foundation for success in the decades to come.”

Nation’s 8th Greenest City Adopts InfoSWMM Innovyze Vanguard Smart Network Modeling Will Enhance Sewer Infrastructure Management for Orlando, Florida

Nation’s 8th Greenest City Adopts InfoSWMM
Innovyze Vanguard Smart Network Modeling Will Enhance Sewer Infrastructure Management for Orlando, Florida
Broomfield, Colorado, USA, August 23, 2016 — Innovyze, a leading global innovator of business analytics software and technologies for smart wet infrastructure, today announced that the City of Orlando, Florida, has chosen InfoSWMM, the firm’s industry-leading solution for geocentric smart wastewater network modeling. The software will serve as an enhancement to help further the development of the comprehensive ArcGIS-centric (Esri, Redlands, CA) approach used to manage the City’s sanitary sewer system.
Nicknamed “The City Beautiful,” Orlando is located in Central Florida. With a population of over 238,000, it is the fifth largest city in Florida and the state’s largest inland city. Its Wastewater Division operates and maintains over 800 miles of sanitary sewers and over 200 lift stations.
“We chose InfoSWMM for its comprehensive sanitary sewer collection system modeling and robust simulation capabilities,” said Vince Genco, P.E., Civil Engineer III for the City. “The program seamlessly integrates with our standard Esri-based GIS platform and is backed by excellent technical support. That represents a winning combination for us.”
A complete ArcGIS-centric urban drainage modeling solution, the full-featured InfoSWMM analysis and design program delivers the highest rate of return in the industry. All operations of a typical sewer system — from analysis and design to management functions such as water quality assessment, pollution prediction, sediment transport and deposition, urban flooding, real-time control, and record keeping — are addressed in a single, fully integrated geoengineering environment. The program’s powerful hydraulic and water quality computational engine is based on an enhanced version of the latest USEPA SWMM 5, which is certified by FEMA. These features and more deliver an enhanced modeling experience and greater realism of displayed results — advantages that translate to increased productivity, reduced costs, higher accuracy, better efficiency, and improved designs.
InfoSWMM also serves as a robust base platform for advanced modeling; operational, short-term, long range and capital planning; urban stormwater treatment and analysis; and analytics-driven asset management extensions. Some of these critical applications include InfoSWMM 2D (two-dimensional surface flood modeling), SWMMLive(real-time urban drainage modeling), CapPlan (risk-based capital planning and asset performance modeling),InfoSWMM Sustain (optimal selection, placement and sizing of green infrastructure), InfoSWMM SFEM (dynamic sewer flow estimation model), InfoMaster (GIS-centric risk-based analytics-driven asset management), and RDII Analyst (rainfall-dependent inflow and infiltration planning and analysis).
“GIS-centric smart network modeling software solutions can transform the business performance of utilities worldwide, helping them proactively operate, manage and sustain their sewer collection systems,” noted Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D., BCEEM, Hon.D.WRE, Dist.D.NE, Dist.M.ASCE, NAE, President, COO and Chief Innovation Officer of Innovyze. “InfoSWMM gives users the complete and powerful toolset they need to make fast, reliable planning, design, management and operational decisions while maximizing profitability. The City of Orlando is especially well-equipped to make full use of these advantages, and our company is proud to contribute to its success.”
